Alright, I have 10 minutes to Write this Blog so Let's Get To It!

My parents are only giving me ten minutes. I've been up late watching Glee and the speech. Alright, the first day of school was awesome! Our class got the new teacher, so of course we all had butterflies, but she turned out to be really nice. I think this is really going to be a great year. First, we started out with an empowering speech and Alex getting yelled at for slamming the door, and then we had about 20 minutes to write an essay, "Why 8th Grade is Important.". Well, duh, you have to choose your high school. And I know when I say Stuyvesant I'm kind of setting the bar really high, but I've been working really hard, I mastered the English reading which is 60 percent of the whole test, and I still have a while to practice. So, as good a chance as any, I guess. Well, at least I hope. Personally, I thought it was the worst thing I ever wrote, because I wanted to write two pages and I really only had one topic. Of course, the teacher read it out loud to the class because she liked it, which was kind of embarrassing. I'm the only one in the class who wants to go there, so it was pretty obvious who wrote it, and it wasn't really my best work. It was kind of long and didn't go along with the topic, but the teacher liked it, so I guess it's O.K. I wanted to watch the speech, but we went out to dinner and my mom wanted to watch the end of Glee (I mean I like it, but my mom? Mid-life crisis alert), and now I have to go take a shower and get to bed, so I'll watch it during breakfast. It's Tivoed. I really have to go, but I'll write a lot tommorow. German classes only start next week, or sometime after that, so I have plenty of time to rant. - Anneliese
